This is very important for items such as camshafts, new camshafts have a larger base circle than regrinds which leads to much longer camshaft life even with the performance camshaft option. What you need to have done locally is have your crankshaft inspected to determine the size of bearings you will need and have the engine block inspected also to determine the piston sizes you will need.
