Description
The lower radiator hose is actually made up of two separate short hoses with a metal connector pipe. With the design of the Triumph TR3 to TR4A it has a fairly tall engine and also a tall, narrow radiator. Consequently, the distance from the lower radiator outlet to the water pump hose fitting is about a foot and a half. This would be an excessive distance to be spanned by a single rubber hose. Triumph engineered a solution by using short rubber hoses and a steel connector pipe which worked very well until the steel connector pipe rusts out. To answer this somewhat vexing problem, we now stock a stainless steel replacement pipe. It is an excellent copy of the original, but in non-rusting stainless and you’ll be a lot happier looking down at this shiny stainless pipe than a rusted mess! Cross Reference 834-290
