Description
This is the correct 3 piece clutch kit made by Girling for the Austin Healey Sprite MkIV 1275 (12CC Engine) and MG Midget MKIII 1275 (12CC Engine). This clutch configuration is different from the other engine combinations used. With the 1275 engine (which will have the engine markings of 12CC) the clutch disc has the size of 165mm or 6 1/2 inches with a spline count of 10. The pressure plate is the diagram style which was only used on the 1275 engine Sprites and Midgets. Last the release bearing has a different height compared to the other years of cars. It has a height of 1.25 inches from the top of the pivot to the carbon face. It is very important that you have the correct clutch fork (22G168) that was used on this Austin Healey Sprite and MG Midget to insure proper clutch release.
