Do it right the first time and get a correct reading from your tank sender. ***Note Be sure to put the rubber seal on the fuel tank side of the sending unit. The correct way is Fuel tank seal, fuel tank sending unit and then fuel tank lock ring. These pieces DO NOT come with the fuel tank sender and must be ordered separately *** It is very important and you depend on your car's fuel gauge each time you take it for a drive. If the gauge malfunctions or provides inaccurate readings, addressing the issue should be a top priority. The fuel sending unit, situated inside your gas tank, serves as a sensor to gauge the fuel level. As it is constantly immersed in fuel, it is susceptible to wear over time. Corrosion, issues with wiring, and general wear and tear can all contribute to the deterioration of a fuel sending unit. Cross Reference SMB111, AHU1027Z, AHU1027X, ARA966, MTU108
