Who knew that something so small was so important. This this oil thrower deflects oil from the front oil seal and directs it down into the oil pan. Also if you have an MGA and you want to convert to a later MGB front seal, you will need a front cover from a 1965 to 1980 and this oil thrower. Correct installation of this oil thrower the flange will be closest to the timing chain. If it is installed backward the flange will touch and rub on the inside of the cover (Not good).
