Description
Finally an improved conversion kit for the crankshaft seal that is 100% new, and does not require crankshaft machining that fits the Triumph TR2, TR3, TR4 and TR4A. The uprated Viton seal prevents rear engine oil leakage from the old tractor style seal, and the blow by that is associated with high performance engines. This improved conversion kit it is easy to install, especially since this uprated style has been developed. Machining of the crankshaft is no longer needed, and no more worrying about trying to have your crank ground, it's just an easy install. Furthermore, the original seal (in shape of an oil return screw) remains, while at the same time the high-performance Viton shaft seal is used for long life. Some other companies are selling a lower quality kit that does not use a Viton seal. The Viton seal is a must because of the narrow surface that the seal rides on. Leaving puddles on the ground can be a thing of the past, if you install this uprated seal kit. Installation Note, we have found with the precision manufacturing of this of this kit No Alignment Tool will be needed.
**** Very Important If ARP flywheel bolts are used, you MUST Check Bolt Clearance to the seal. We have found some bolts are too long, and will damage the rear seal. Also factory lock tab must be used or bolts will need to be shortened ****
