Description
This is an excellent Brand New Steel Billet Camshaft which has been rifled drilled and cross drilled for the Austin Healey 1275, MG Midget 1275 and Austin Mini 1275. The advantages of the Rifle drilling and cross drilling is all of the camshaft lobes and camshaft gear are feed pressured oil. This greatly increases the life of the camshaft and the tappets (lifters). You MUST use the later A + Oil pump (Part #CO816) to match this camshaft drive. The later pump is a much better pump and is a great upgrade. Another advanage of a New performance camshaft is a larger base circle that the camshaft starts with which equals a longer camshaft life. After much research we have found this Performance grind gives the best all around power without sacrificing drivability. The idle is good and pulls very strong from 2000 up. Camshaft specifications are: Intake and Exhaust Duration 270, Lift At Valve .367, Lift at Camshaft .300, Timing 28 to 62, 62 to 28, Full lift @ 107. Valve Clearance of 0.012. Good quality stock dual valve springs are suggested for this camshaft. Make sure you always use new lifters (Tappets).
