Description

This is a fuel tank for Austin Healey Sprite MK II and MG Midget MK I up to Aug 1970 (NOTE: cars originally shipped to California may have only used this tank until Oct of 1969 starting at engine number 12CJ-DA-H-21201 when the evaporative loss system was introduced). Fuel tank has a capacity of 7 gallons (the factory tank was 6 gallons). Made with corrosion resistant O.E.M. approved Ni Terne steel and are tested for leaks after assembly. ***Because of size additional charges will apply for 3-Day, 2-Day, Next Day and International Shipping. ******* Dimensions of the tank are 15 1/4 x 28 1/2 x 8.  Information about the Material the tank is made from. The annealed cold-rolled steel sheet is first processed to apply a thin flash coating of electrode-posited nickel, and then it's given a hot-dip lead-tin alloy coating. The nickel base coat gives Ni-Terne steel an extra measure of corrosion resistance compared to traditional galvanizing. It should also be pointed out that the Ni-Terne coating protects both interior and exterior surfaces of the fuel tank from surface corrosion so your tank will be protected from all sides.
