How do you know if you need new shock absorbers? If the valving or piston seal inside the shock body are warn wearing the fluid flows uncontrolled (un-dampened) and even the smallest steering wheel movement or modest brake will allow extreme movement of the shock are within the cylinder. This means that if you make turn for instance then the weight of the vehicle will shift harder during the turn and the driver will have to correct it, causing a swerve.
