This is the speedometer pinion seal that was used on almost all British vehicles (Will not be correct for D-Type Overdrive unit) . If you are seeing oil seep out of the connection between the transmission and the speedometer cable most likely it is the seal on the speedometer pinion. Small be very much needed part.
