This is a NEW brake master cylinder Made by Girling for a Jaguar E Type (XKE): 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974. Since AP has stopped producing Original cylinders we have found these Girling units mimic the internals of the original cylinder have all the correct safety features that where built into the unit when originally produced but with a few improvements. What has improved which has caused the most headaches for E-Type customers in a sticky reaction valve pistons. With these cylinders this valve has been made from a Stainless material which will not corrode and become sticky which has plagued the original AP cylinders. We have found that many White Boxed aftermarket cylinders are potentially missing safety measures to make your car stop, in the event of a low brake pedal, and this is dangerous.
