Push rods wear and the constant pushing on the clutch pedal will deform over time and you will loose travel. With the adjustable push rod you can adjust the pedal to give you the correct height which will give you the correct throw. But if there are other mechanical issues the adjustable rod will not be able to over come them. Cross Reference 13H396
