Description
Shock Absorber Front for Triumph TR4A, TR250 and TR6 standard hydraulic shock. Shock comes complete with upper and lower bushings.
Shocks are an important part of the Triumph TR4A, TR250 and Triumph TR6 suspension system and help keep the tires in contact with the road to keep you car stable and predictable. They also ensure that you the drive or passenger get a smooth ride along the road. Like all other suspension pieces, they where overtime and need to be inspected and replaced time to time. Be sure to watch out for the common signs of shock absorber wear. One of the common signs that your Triumph TR4A, TR250 and Triumph TR6 may be experiencing problems is with "bottoming out” when going over bumps in the road. This will cause a sharp jarring effect for the driver and passenger and fun of a Sunday drive is greatly reduced. Another common sign of worn shocks absorbers is when the front end of the Triumph TR4A, TR250 and Triumph TR6 dives forward while the brakes are applied causing it to nose dive. This goes back to Newton's law, motions stays in motion, when the brakes are pressed, the weight of the Triumph wants to keep traveling forward and the shock absorbers is not able to dampen this force. This effect of this is hard on the performance of the front brakes and even puts additional stress on the rear brakes because the weight of the car travels up and the braking force is reduced. All of this creates a driving hazard because your Triumph will be harder to control and steer. Cross Reference 62-1395, AR62-1395, 670-015
