This improved axle assembly that is fully balanced at 3,000 RPM's (100+mph) for smooth vibration free running. Also with this improved design includes a grease zerk fitting and a neoprene seal on the sliding parts of the axle so no dust boot (small accordion boot) is needed. It is still recommend to use the larger boot that covers the universal joint. This axle assemblies can be on the clunk culprits in your IRS Triumph, replacing your old unit with this new and improved unit will silence one part of that clunk.
