This Pertronix Ignitor System and Flame Thrower Ignition Coil Kit will take all of the guess work out of what is needed to improve the ignition on your Spitfire 1975 to 1980. Never worry about your factory black box ignition leaving you some where you don't want to be. With this kit you get a high out put Pertronix Ignitor that produces twice the voltage to the spark plugs than standard ignitions, a 40,000 volt Flame Thrower Ignition coil matched to the Ignitor and easy installation instructions. Both of the Flame Thrower coils produce the same voltage, it just depends if you would like a bright Chrome Coil or Stain Black coil. You do not need to remove the distributor from the car and no new wires will need to be run to install these units. Your car will start easier, run smoother and have no maintenance. Your car can be run with the standard ballast resistor in place, but over time those can also fail. Most people by pass the ballast resistor for power to the Pertronix unit.
