This is a rear shock link for a Austin Healey BN1 (Hypoind Axle) through BJ8 to (c)26704. This link does a very important job of connecting the shock absorber to the rear spring in your Austin Healey. It has to absorb a tremendous shock and over time this will wear out the rubber in the link and you will loose some of the dampening abilities with slop.
