Ten years ago we would have hardly ever sold any of these. But as your MGB ages and you change your filter on a reguar basis, the filter head threads do wear out. Or as will all things time takes a toll on cast alloy pieces and cracks develop which in turn means oil leaks. Inspect your old unit for leaks or warn out threads everytime you change your oil. Fits most MGB's from 1970 to 1980, if you have a 1974 and 1975 you will need a different oil filter. Cross Reference 460-910
