Description
Did you ever wonder why there was so much dust in your trunk of your MGB? Its because the rubber trunk seal is missing or is smashed flat. Being make of soft rubber it gets old and “past its prime”, it no longer seals the trunk lid effectively. The gap that results allows road dirt and water to get into the trunk. The road dirt makes an ugly mess while the water rots out your trunk floor and the lower part of the back fenders! MGB's from October 1976 to 1980 use a seal that mounts on the car body. This later seal has a metal clip moulded into the rubber. It simply pushes onto the exposed flange around the trunk lid opening in the body. Very easy install and make a huge difference.
